CVC Frankfurt has successfully completed the first Sonovein™ procedures in Germany, introducing focused therapeutic ultrasound as a new treatment option for selected patients with symptomatic varicose veins. The first four patients were treated successfully during the launch phase of the program. The Sonovein™ program is jointly led by Dr. Kolja Sievert and Dr. Christina Kläffling, combining expertise in vascular medicine, ultrasound diagnostics, minimally invasive venous therapies and structured patient follow-up. Unlike catheter-based treatments, Sonovein™ uses focused therapeutic ultrasound delivered from outside the body and does not require placement of a catheter inside the target vein. Additional patients are currently being treated as the program expands.
