Frankfurt / Tbilisi – October 2025

Patients suffering from both type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure may soon benefit from a new catheter-based treatment that acts on two organs at once.

The procedure — called multi-organ denervation — uses fine catheters to calm overactive nerves around the liver and kidney arteries, helping to reduce both blood sugar and blood pressure levels without open surgery.

All initial procedures were performed in Georgia by the CardioVascular Global team in cooperation with local investigators from leading Tbilisi cardiovascular centres. Early results presented at TCT 2025 show promising improvements in both metabolic and cardiovascular control, with a strong safety profile.

CardioVascular Global and its international partners are preparing the next phase of studies to confirm these findings and to expand access to innovative, minimally invasive therapies for patients worldwide.
